Welcome to the Houston Automotive Modeler’s Society (HAMS), a community of hobby enthusiasts who share a love for building automotive model kits.

HAMS is an official local chapter of the International Plastic Modeler Society (IPMS). We meet monthly to share tips and techniques, showcase our models, and engage in friendly discussion. We host an annual model competition that attracts a large number of visitors, exhibitors, vendors and contestants.

Upcoming Space City Shootout Contest
Join us on July 12th for the 2025 edition of our annual model competition. Our show attracts hundreds of visitors and contestants, as well as a large number of scale automotive hobby vendors and exhibitors. You might even see your own work highlighted in Fine Scale Modeller magazine, or other popular hobby publications.
